What is Media Blasting?

Now days most Restoration Professionals and Aircraft Manufacturers use what is called Media Blasting. This is similar to Sandblasting with a few differences. The difference is pressure; Sandblasting typically uses high air pressure and sharp grit. Media Blasting on the other hand uses low air pressure with softer edged grit removing paint and rust without causing damage to the underlying surface. It can even be used to remove paint from aluminum, fiberglass, composite, rubber, and even plastics, leaving a soft bare finish.
